It's pretty far from where I live, but it's worth the drive. It's very authentic and it still tastes good.
Everyone should try it one day. -

I was super excited to try this place out since it was close to my work and I was really craving Chinese. I ordered their lunch specials. We got 3 different plates to share. 1. ORANGE CHICKEN 2. CHOW MEIN 3. KUN PAO CHICKEN...
1. orange chicken I immediately throw out of my mouth It just tasted like sugar and nasty old chicken thigh.
2. the chow mein was some what ok to eat. It pretty much all I ate.
3. the kun pao chicken had this nasty thick gooey sauce all over it and it just looked gross to even touch.
the lunch specials come with a soup, egg roll , cream cheese raggon and fried rice.
soup is their soup of the day, and fried rice is basically rice with egg n soy sauce nothing else.
service was fast, and it was just ok. nothing crazy to state.
sadly I will never eat here again. -

Greeted by an energetic and friendly host as soon as you enter. The food came out quickly and was both visually pleasing and very delicious.
I also noticed that many asian families were dining here, so I suspect you can get authentic cuisine in addition to the americanized fare we're accustomed to.
A wonderful experience - I'll be returning. -

At House of Joy, you can find your good ol' korean/Chinese food. Jjangbbong (spicy seafood noodle soup), jjajjangmyung (black sauce noodles), fried rice, veggies, and different types of protein dishes (seafood, meat, chicken).
I always get the jjangbbong (I get just the soup without noodles), Peking chicken (glazed, sweet, not-so-spicy, and easy-to-share chicken dish), and sautéed green string beans (nice and crunchy). -

Good food, good portions, but menu prices are out of this world ! Better off going to the San Gabriel Valley for affordable restaurants.
